Meet Austin

A proud Canadian who leads with kindness and curiosity, Austin Braxton-Smith is a dancer and arts leader working at the intersection of the performing arts and environmental sustainability

As a dancer, Austin has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Jacob's Pillow, The Joyce Theater, and has toured North America with The Phantom of the Opera. She has been featured in Dance Magazine and Dance Spirit Magazine, and has collaborated on projects with Disney, The Public Theater, and RWS Entertainment Group

Passionate about leveraging the arts for social change, Austin currently serves as the Director of Programs at the Broadway Green Alliance, where she has lectured on sustainable theatre practices at organizations around the globe. Her broader arts leadership experience includes roles with Materials for the Arts, Arts Ignite, and The Clive Barnes Foundation. She holds an MA in Arts Leadership from Queen's University and a BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College.

 

Drawn towards projects that connect, challenge, and entertain, Austin looks forward to future collaborations and opportunities to grow.
